Rallyebild are a team of three individuals, one photographer and two videographers, who love and respect everything Porsche. The Red and Orange Porsche

Olaf Dobberkau was driving this impressive machine. In Germany, Dobberkau is known as Dr. Drift and for good reason! This incredible driver won the prestigious Sachsen-Rallye, which culminated in the first Porsche victory in its class in 26 years. Learn more about Dobberkau at www.prorally.de

The White and Red Porsche

Matthias Kahle, the six-time Germany Rally Champion, was driving this insane machine. His car has a sequential gearbox. He drove an ‘08 Porsche on gravel for the Lausitz Rallye, but since the Porsche doesn’t have gravel tires he had to put on snow tires. Learn more at www.kahle-motorsport.de

The Yellow and Green Porsche

This crazy car was driven by Raphael Ramonat. Don’t forget that he sold his Porsche to Denmark-born Lark Kraugh. This Porsche became the first Porsche Rally in Denmark. You can see more at www.escobar-racing.dk

The White and Orange Porsche

Give it up for Heinz-Walter! This incredible driver won the Championship back in 1976 and is back again, at the age of 66, to compete again. We take our hats off to this amazing driver and his awesome Porsche!

The Black Porsche

This car was driven by Anton Werner, who was the first to bring Porsches to the rallying scene. He started his 2010 season with a 997 gearbox.

The Green/White/Gray

Maik Stolzel drove this crazy ride. This man was the first to introduce us to the 997 sequential gearbox to the Porsche driving scene. Before he drove this car he had the Skota Octavia WRC, as many of you may remember.

They burned up the courses, proving what a Porsche can do when allowed outside of the norm! Rock on!"

We know that you get as excited about the world of Porsche rally racing as we do!

So what does everyone think? Can you imagine a 997 in the WRC? 

‘Grrrr...pssccchhht’…you know the sound. Something about the noise a Turbo makes that just instils a sense of power and speed. Even when just idling.

Okay...so far, not exactly worthy of a post, but bare with me!

I looked in my mirror and the driver looked mid 30's with long hair, and shock-horror....a woman! Who would have though it?!?

Why this seems so unusual I'm not entirely sure. It's fairly common to see female Boxster drivers I guess?

She looked pretty cool sitting low down in the Turbo, shades on, grey business suit, and tapping along to some music. No doubt some really cool music I've never heard of. Her window was down slightly and I’m convinced I could hear Abba, but we'll move on.

The Turbo comes across as quite a masculine car, so seeing a woman in control of it was something of an unexpected revelation.

I used to drive an mx5..I know I know 'hair dressers car'. It was an amazing driving experience to be honest and gave me the rear wheeled drive bug. I would buy one again...I figured the Mx5 was a female car...a 'she' or 'her'.

So is a 911 male or female? A 997 Targa would be female (imho). But a Turbo? Probably male? Or a fiery red headed female? Does it depend on the colour?

This all got me thinking and a carrying on down the road I was overtaken by a Scooby WRX. 'Arg...annoying. Why, oh why, do their owners need to be so aggressive...bl**dy Subaru drivers...oh wait. Another woman driver. Good for her...floor it! …after you – I insist!'.

So a male driving a Scooby = annoying, woman driving a Scooby = cool. Now I'm confusing myself. Does the key to not looking like a berk involve own a car with the opposite sex as you? After all a Subaru is surely male?

Either way she looked amazing...the Turbo of course!
