Nurburgring - New Porsche 911 GT3 Clocks 7m 40secs
Posted on 26. Apr, 2009 by PB.
Rumours are flying round car fan circles that the new Porsche 911 GT3 has achieved a more than impressive 7 minutes 40 seconds around the Nordschleife.
Walter Rohrl, who test drives for Porsche, was apparently ’slowed down’ by the other vehicles on the track. How much would you love to be flat out round the ring in your pride and joy, getting smoked by a new GT3 with a Porsche test pilot at the wheel.

Porsche has forecasted a reversal of fortunes through their Panamera Sedan. Porsche’s top brass has suggested that its first fresh model in seven years, Panamera Sedan, would help in bucking up luxury sales. Klaus Berning, Sales Chief for Porsche said that irrespective of dubious situation, the carmakers would sell a minimum of 20000 units in a year.

Porsche Cayenne Diesel: Ultimate Combination of VW Mechanics & Porsche Style
Posted on 14. Apr, 2009 by PB.
The diesel era has set in and Porsche is all geared up to bring out its Cayenne Diesel 3.0 in style. This car is not only about having a good looking Porsche body, but Porsche has also gone all environmentally friendly on us (if you think diesel is cleaner!) by bringing out the Cayenne Diesel. The combination of the Cayenne body with Volkswagen’s diesel engine is actually a pretty good combination.

So what the heck is this PDK all about then?
Posted on 11. Apr, 2009 by PB.
I was harping on about wanting PDK in my next toy, and thought I’d better find out what it actually is! And probably more importantly – is it any good?
Porsche PDK, (Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe), which simply means Porsche double-clutch gearbox, was initially developed for motor sports. It was developed to benefit drivers in terms of speed and acceleration by allowing them to change gears while still keeping both their hands on steering wheel. Seems like a great idea to me!

What is it with white Turbos!?
Posted on 05. Apr, 2009 by PB.
Another real nice example and the white is totally growing on me. I know there seem to be loads of white cars kicking about, but this 911 turbo does look good in it’s white paintwork. Looks like it was a nice night down inStonehaven. If anyone is ever up in this part of Scotland, there is possibly one of the best roads I have driven called the Slug road.

Stunning 997 GT3

Spotted this Porsche 997 GT3 on Flickr. The photo was taken by Brandon Perdeck and it is well worth checking out his photostream.
This 997 GT3 just looks perfect. Aggressive, yet not overly in your face. I’m not normally a massive fan of white cars, but the black splitter and alloys on this example really finish it off. Hmmmf…I might need to re-think the plan of a Ruf…this just looks cleaner, less in your face and, well awesome! I want!

Cayenne GTS Porsche Design Edition 3
Posted on 26. Mar, 2009 by PB.
Another very limited edition from the Porsche Design stylists!
Porsche are even throwing in a free automatic chronograph watch and four-piece luggage set! Now that can’t be bad. Only 100 will be made and its only available to our friends across the pond. Looks good in Lava Grey Metallic. Not sure about the stripes? I still think a cream coloured Cayenne Diesel (the upgraded bhp one expected in 2010 of course) would be my 4×4 of choice.
Here is the official US Press Release…
