The Porsche 944 - A Classic on the Edge
Posted on 03. Jul, 2009 by PB.
If you were a fan of the 1980’s television show Miami Vice, you saw the Porsche 944 featured over and over. It was an iconic image of style, power and wealth. It has returned with a vengeance and now is considered an emerging classic and retro. The difference is that now you can purchase a Porsche 944 for much less than ever before. It’s possible to get a Porsche 944 at rock bottom prices because their status as a retro classic hasn’t yet been solidified. When that happens, I reckon the value of the 944 is going rise. Looking at the second hand prices, you could buy one right now, then sell it in a year for at least the same money. At a time where second hand prices are dropping like crazy this is definitely food for thought.

There you are driving along in your Porsche 911, the envy of all that see you. Then suddenly a baby appears in your life and wants to ride along too! It happens every day. One minute we are free to zip around in our Porsche and the next minute we are trying to figure out how to keep the Porsche and still transport the baby. The 2009 Porsche Cayman S - A love Affair Waiting to Happen
Posted on 06. Jun, 2009 by PB.
If you have been looking for a reason to buy a new car, Porsche has given you several of them all wrapped up in one car. The 2009 Porsche Cayman S is a must have for car lovers. I was lucky enough to have a play in a good friends Cayman S and was very impressed with this bit of kit. The Cayman S has always confused me in a way. I have to say when the first pics arrived a few years back I was a bit undecided. It was the same when the 944 came out. I couldn’t work out who it was aimed at. Well, once again my mind has been changed. I absolutely loved it. Here is my thoughts…

Posted on 01. Jun, 2009 by PB.
Beautiful weather here at the moment and all the nice cars are out the garages, and polished up. I was lucky enough to spot a 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster.
As one of the most well regarded collector cars in the world, the 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster has earned an enviable place even among other types of Porsche cars. While the Porsche Speedster line was produced from 1948 until 1965, the 1956 Speedster model truly hold a special place in the hearts of many Porsche owners. Judging from the enthusiasm found on Porsche forums around the Internet, the 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster is a true gem among car collectors.

997 Porsche Carrera Review
Posted on 10. May, 2009 by PB.
The 997 Carerra makes you look good. Not in a sitting at the lights way, but in the way that it makes practiced experts out of amateurs. It just seems to work the way it should do. Cornering, breaking, steering are all exactly the way they should be allowing point and squeeze, then smile from ear to ear style driving. You are guarded against rocks, slime, weather and other imbalances in this new model, with the only problem being that is is sometimes easy to forget your in a very very fast car. It will bite if you give it too much lead. Beware
The 997 rips you forwards kicking and screaming if you want to play, making you (well me anyway) give out a slightly scared yelp. “Ouchabuggeritsfast” being the Scottish funicular.

Exclusive Spy Shots: The 2011 Porsche Cayman & Carrera caught testing in SA
Posted on 01. May, 2009 by PB.
The next generation Porsche Cayman and Carrera S for 2011 has been caught by EasyCarBlog undergoing heat testing in South Africa. On the back of the Carerra you will see a sticker which says “Government approved high speed testing vehicle”. This means that the car can travel up to 350km/h on public roads without prosecution. Pretty unfair eh?
The little city which hosts all of these exotic prototypes is called Upington and it is based in the Kalahari desert. Dean from EasyCarBlog got in touch with these exclusive spy shots and kindly let us feature them on the site.

The Perfect Pink Porsche?
Posted on 29. Apr, 2009 by PB.
We just had to post about this Porsche belonging to Amanda Vega. I first saw her car in her Twitter profile and right away thought - right…I’m following her!! I added her to my list of followers and she returned the favor. Amanda sent me a wee tweet “why I love my pink Porsche even if everyone thinks it’s weird.”, and that settled it - we just had to post about this 911 soft top.
